Armstrong PTA would like to say “hello!” We hope you are having a wonderful summer. We are busy beavers getting ready for the next school year, planning some great events and fundraisers.
We still have a few committees that are in need of leadership. Please consider helping out with one of them. Plus, there’s no need to do it alone! Grab a friend, relative, neighbor, or two to help.
Do you have a skill that you think is worth sharing with adults or children? Please consider running a workshop. Contact information for Jennifer Myszka, PTA President, is on the open committees for the 2017-18 school year.
Last, but not least, please show your support and join/renew your Armstrong PTA membership for only $6! Not only does a membership support the programs (hot lunch, snack day, Field Day, winter dance, Hero Day…to name a few) our children love, it also includes money-saving benefits with Hertz, Boxed, MetLife, Staples and Sylvan, to name a few! In addition, if you become a PTA member before March 1, 2018, you are eligible to apply for the STC Elementary Scholarship (money towards summer camp!). Parents, children, aunts, uncles, neighbors, businesses are all welcome to join today! Any questions, e-mail Robyn Black at email@example.com.
Please join us for a PTA meeting and get “behind-the-scenes” information before everyone else! Help shape your child’s year. Meetings are generally on the third Tuesday of the month (September through May) at 7:00PM in the teacher’s lounge. There will be a calendar sent out with all the meeting dates soon. While there is no babysitting available for the meetings, children are welcome to come and sit quietly in the lounge or hallway, and read, do homework, etc.
We hope to hear from you soon; whether it’s to ask about running an event, how you can volunteer, joining Armstrong PTA, attending a meeting, or you simply have a question. We are all in this together,
Jennifer Myszka, Armstrong PTA President
Rhonda Onuszko, Armstrong PTA Vice President
Chrissy Christian, Armstrong PTA Treasurer
Sarah Dean, Armstrong PTA Recording Secretary
Robyn Black , Armstrong PTA Corresponding Secretary
Also, Armstrong’s PBIS Universal team is looking for a parent who is willing to join the committee! The team meets twice per month on Thursday mornings at 7:45am. If you are interested in joining the team, please contact Ms. Cooper at (847)357-6700.
