A Message from Our Principal

Posted Sunday, December 4th, 2011 by Principal Beth Erbach

   Dear Armstrong Community,

I cannot believe the holiday season is upon us!
Snow would make the season complete!

  • After Thanksgiving break, we had the NED show come to our school.  This assembly kicked off our PBIS week.  We really enforced with the students using PBIS behavior.  The students had a fun week.
  • Great job to the 4th grade and 3/4 Multigrade classes on a fantastic music program.  We were so proud of all the children!
  • MAP testing is going on right now and will continue through next week.  I am amazed on how well the children are doing.  The students are making great gains.
  • PTA will be selling Nachos during lunch on Wed., Dec. 7th.
  • Tuesday, Dec. 13th is a PTA Meeting at 6:30.  This meeting is off site.
  • Friday, Dec. 16th is our holiday parties sponsored by PTA.  Parties are from 1:30 – 2:30.  Room moms can be here to set up at 1:15.
  • Reminder…Every Friday we sell pizza at lunch ($2.00) and it is also Armstrong Spirit Day.  The children can wear Armstrong Spirit Wear or anything blue and gold.
  • Believe it or not….conferences are coming up soon.  They are after the winter break on January 12th and 13th.  Invitations will be coming home soon.

I hope all of you will have a wonderful holiday season.  My wish for all of you is happiness, health and peace for the New Year.  I am always being constantly reminded of what a great staff, students and parents we have at Armstrong School.   We have such a great community and that is why I enjoy coming to work every day!

Happy Holidays!

Mrs. Erbach

Student-Led Conferences – January 12th & 13th

Posted Saturday, December 3rd, 2011 by Derrick Sun

Winter student-led conferences will be held on Thursday, January 12th and Friday, January 13th.  During these conferences, your child will take the lead in sharing their portfolio and reflecting upon their performance with you.  Your child’s classroom teacher will also meet you for a short time to make comments and answer any questions.  These conferences will be 30 minutes long.  Expect your child’s teacher to correspond with you within the next week regarding times and availabilities for this next round of conferences.
